Thai Papaya Garden is a Thai and Asian food family style restaurant. It serves mainly Thai food but sushi also is on the menu and there are Chinese dishes as well. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available too. Takeout is offered but the restaurant does not deliver. Papaya Garden has one location, and it's been here about 10 years. Food prices are inexpensive.

The restaurant is located in a larger shopping center and borders the busy (183) Airport Freeway. Thai Papaya was generally clean and comfortable but otherwise was unremarkable. The dining room was fairly spacious and tables can be arranged easily for larger parties. Most tables had tablecloths but some had plastic tabletops as well. Thai-style art and figurines graced the entrance/exit area.

Appetizers included a Tom Kha soup and a fried vegetarian egg roll. Neither was particularly appetizing and both were served rapid-fire. The consistency of the soup was more like a broth than a stew and it had sparse and rather bland mushrooms and chicken. The vegetarian egg roll had a deep fried taste and the portion was small. It looked like it came from a grocery store freezer. The main course was green curry with tofu, bamboo and green beans. Like the rest of the meal it arrived fast, but what saved the dish and the meal was the rich sauce. It was enjoyable with a light zesty taste and was not too strong in the curry department. It also worked well with the rice. The tofu though looked like it had come right out of a package. The waiter was pleasant and professional but since the food arrived so quickly, there was little time to enjoy the experience. This restaurant works OK for a basic and no frills type meal, when leisure, style and overall cuisine are less important than just getting something to eat.
