Fairfield Inn & Suites Titusville is an economy style hotel with 4 floors, 96 rooms and 17 suites. It's a nonsmoking property, but pets are accepted for a $50 fee. The hotel was built in 2008. Standard rooms tend to range from $120-150, and suites are about $20 extra. The suites include a pullout sofa bed. Parking at the hotel is free.
The Fairfield is located next to Interstate 95, and traffic noise from the highway is noticeable when outside, especially from the pool area. Hotel amenities include an outdoor heated pool, as well as a workout room and a laundry room. There are also some guest computers. A free hot breakfast is offered and includes such items as eggs, bacon, fruit and biscuits. As for local restaurants, if you are into Cracker Barrel then you are in luck because thee is one within walking distance. Other shops and restaurants are further away and would require a drive. The hotel does not offer a shuttle to local destinations.
The front desk clerk was pleasant and helpful. A non-connecting room had been requested, but none were available and she upgraded the room to a suite. While the suite had a larger sized bathroom with both a Jacuzzi tub and a walk-in shower, the bathroom was poorly designed with the toilet located way too close to the shower, and the tub was across the room. There was some dirt around the shower tiles and grout as well. Being quite tired that night, it was easy to fall asleep quickly. A comfortable bed helped. The AC worked properly but was barely used because cooler winter temperatures made it unnecessary. Noise levels inside the hotel were minimal. There was not enough time to try out the breakfast the next morning, but it looked about average. The big draw of this hotel is location, as it is right next to Interstate 95 and only a 15 minute drive to the Kennedy Space Center. The hotel offers slightly discounted tickets to the center as well. While your Florida trip won't be meaningfully diminished by failing to stay here, the Fairfield provided decent value for the money and rated above average overall.
