Corner Café and Buckhead Bread Company is a combination breakfast restaurant, dessert shop and bakery. It’s located in a trendy upscale area, and in keeping with the neighborhood, Corner Café has a stylish look with higher end food and higher end prices. It’s only open for breakfast, brunch and lunch. There is no dinner service. The menu includes such items as omelets, pancakes, soups, salads, and a variety of sandwiches.

Corner Café opened in 1994 and is part of the Buckhead Life Restaurant Group, which owns a number of popular specialty restaurants in Atlanta and Florida. The Corner Café's dining area only has modest separation barriers between booths and tables, so privacy is limited. Also, the noise level can get high when the café is crowded. Lines can form on weekends for brunch, and waits of 30 minutes are not uncommon. If you want to avoid a wait, get here before 9:00am.

Brunch consisted of pancakes with a generous helping of blueberries, two muffins, baked potatoes and orange juice. The pancakes were better than average, light and not too sweet. It was a little odd that the blueberries were piled on top rather than baked into the pancakes, but it still worked taste wise. The potatoes and a bran muffin also were appetizing, with a slight edge to the potatoes because the bran muffin was a bit soggy. Portions were reasonable. The restaurant was busy, and so the atmosphere here was not conducive to relaxing. A server attempted to take the dishes away before the meal was finished, and then it was hard to get the server's attention in order to pay the bill. Corner Café was an adequate choice for brunch but the service and atmosphere bring the overall rating down a few rungs. Also, while the food was decent, it was not good enough to warrant a long wait. Some of the desserts such as the tiramisu and chocolate cake looked scrumptious though. The parking lot can fill up quickly in busier times, and finding a spot at such times can be challenging.
