The bar's design is artsy but works from a color and style perspective.

Live Music Bars
The Blue Martini is a higher end live music bar with a dozen locations, mostly in Florida. The Plano bar is at the trendy Shops at Legacy. Blue Martini specializes in martinis but also had a large wine menu and some food such as salads, seafood, flatbread and a few desserts. The bar is hip and attracts a happening crowd but the age and mix can vary a lot from night to night depending on the music and theme.
Blue Martini has a small footprint and three bars. The bands play behind the main bar. The furniture and style is contemporary, higher quality and comfortable. Noise can really carry so depending on the crowd and the band, it can be one of those venues in which you pretend to actually hear what a person says and then just nod your head and smile. Music varies by night. According to the bartender, who was helpful and easy on the eyes, Sunday = Salsa, Monday = a DJ, Tuesday = karaoke, Wednesday = Western, Thursday = Ladies night (not sure what type of music the ladies prefer), Friday = Top 40 and Saturday = House/Techno. The bar can get packed on Saturday, so if you like your space, keep that in mind. Also, parking at Legacy can be tight.
There were 30 people or so here on a Sunday night. The band was surprisingly good and lots of hips were shaking salsa style on the dance floor. During the band’s breaks, background music was quiet enough to chat. Later the band led a conga line into the street. Martinis included the Pomegranate which was fruity but too sweet, a Fly Me To The Moon which was way too sweet, almost sickly sweet, and the Cucumber which had a better sweet/dry balance due to the gin. The Cucumber is the only one that would be ordered again. Drink prices around $14 were higher than average. There is no cover charge Sunday-Wednesday, but the bar scanned driver’s licenses. As long as it’s not packed, Blue Martini is a relaxing place to hang out and dance. The music and service quality were both good. Drink quality was lacking though.

got caprese salad and flatbread pizza, of the two the caprese was better, not great but better. The pizza was dry and overly cheesy. The food at Sambuca was better.

I got lolipop lamb chops which needed salt and an appetizer of shrimp and crab, which was a bit too spicy - it overpowered the normal taste.
