Located 2 miles from Disneyland, the Courtyard Anaheim at Disneyland Resort is a midrange hotel built in 2005. It has 4 floors, 135 rooms and 18 suites. The hotel is nonsmoking and does not accept pets. Rates for a basic room can range from $110 in the offseason to $250 or more during peak times. Parking is an extra $14 per day. The immediate neighborhood is mostly hotels including a Hyatt Place next door that was under construction in 2014.

The Courtyard has an outdoor heated pool and whirlpool. There also is a small workout room and some guest computers. All the rooms have a mini fridge, and suites also have a microwave. The suites are family style, with a bunk bed in the second room and a pull-out couch as well. A bistro/snack bar at the hotel serves breakfast and dinner for an extra fee. As for nearby restaurants, a Ruth Chris Steakhouse is next door and a Denny's is across the street. If you don't mind walking 10-12 minutes or taking a short drive, the Anaheim Garden Walk has a number of popular restaurants such as Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen and P.F. Chang's. The hotel does not have a courtesy shuttle, but the city of Anaheim runs a bus service which has transportation to Disneyland.

A free upgrade to a suite was offered at check-in, but after checking out the family style configuration and waiting 10 minutes for the air conditioner to kick in without results, it was back down to the front desk to request a regular room. This room was clean, and the bathroom controls worked properly. Also, the AC kicked in immediately, but got too cold later that night. While the bed was slightly lumpy, it was still adequate. Unfortunately, noise levels were unsatisfactory with the sounds of doors opening and closing and toilets flushing emanating from rooms upstairs and across the hall. Also, an elevator took so long at one point it was faster to take the stairs. On the plus side, service was solid. The front desk clerk was helpful and attentive. She also provided maps of Disney and suggestions on attractions. The Courtyard was better than it was worse but was not stellar. It would be worth a stay if you can get a top floor room in a quieter area to cut down on the background noise.
